Welcome to WRITE REIKI! I am so excited to have this time together, and looking forward to getting to know you.
Please scroll down to the comment section and introduce yourself. Tell us:
- where you live
- how long you've been practicing
- if you are a home practitioner or professional
- what your goals are for WRITE REIKI
- anything else you want to share!
We'll publish a new page each day with your writing prompt for the day. Each day's page will be illustrated by a Writual Blessing card by my friend, writer and illustrator Cynthia Morris.
The prompt and blessing will also be emailed to you each morning. If you don't receive the email, look in your spam folder. If it's not there, come online to get the day's prompt and blessing, and email Cori at assistant@reikiinmedicine.org so she can troubleshoot.
Please read through the WRITE REIKI Manual and Friendly Agreement where you'll find all the information you need to get the most out of the program.
I look forward to meeting you in the comment section below. You can post without a picture, but we'd love to see you. If you don't have a picture attached to your name (it's called a gravatar and follows you online), you can click here to make one.
Please be generous with your comments. Share yourself and your experience with us. Those who make time to interact in our Writers Haven definitely get the most from the program. This is a safe place to show yourself, and to ask for help if needed.
It's also an emoji-friendly zone! 🤗❤😂🤣
Much love,
Pamela
P.S. Please watch the intro video. Take the time to actually do the Reiki free-write (aka heart-write), as that's the best way to start learning this deceptively simple process, which you'll likely be tempted to make unnecessarily complicated until you get the hang of it (just my humble observation from running this program). Like Reiki practice, Reiki free-writing really is simple. And it's not journaling or day pages or anything else you've done. You'll be asked to give your name and email in order to access the recording. No worries, that's just the way GoToWebinar does it and your information is totally safe, never shared.
Hello everyone, I am Brigid and I live on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
I have been practicing Reiki since 2012. I am a home practitioner and practice Reiki on myself and friends.
I have done the Write Reiki course a few times now but think it has probably been 5 years or more since I last did the course. I am looking forward to dropping in a bit deeper and finding some space and calmness.
Welcome back, Brigid! This is a good program for finding space and calmness, and I’m happy your with us again.
Hello everyone,
My name is Bianca I am from California. I have been practicing just a few months @ level 2 Reiki. I was attuned in 2019 but things were very busy that year. This year I’ve been re attuned and committed to Reiki practice.
Currently I am a home practitioner eventually would love to go professional.
My goals are for WRITE REIKI are to open up to whatever’s ready to flow through.
Welcome, Bianca! Lovely to have you with us and I look forward to getting to know you.
Is there a difference for you between “whatever’s ready to flow through,” and rather whatever you’re ready to let flow through?
Hi, I am Eunsoo from South Korea. I have been practicing Reiki since 2019 when I took the first degree program by Pamela Miles. I am a home practitioner. My goal this year and with this WRITE REIKI is to feel good, especially as I start off my day. Look forward to my coming days of reiki practices and sharing & hearing. Thank you Pamela.
Always happy to have you with us, Eunsoo! ❤️
Guten Morgen from Germany, I’m Astrid . I came across Reiki during my Sabbatical when I was travelling the world in 2024. I took my first Reiki course in Bali. Doors opened, it was like hand-in-hand, so afterwards my four Bali weeks I travelled to South Afirca to Cape Town and completed Reiki 2 course there.
and Reiki 3 came on top this year in Germany. Three teachers with different cultural backgrounds – so thrilling and in the end it turned out we are all one. So many books and material, a lot of inspiration by you Pamela (a recommendation of my Bali teacher Kate Parrot )
I’ve been practicing Reiki on my friends and collegues, do self-reiki every day and lots of things have changed in my life. I’m still overwhelmed and excited about the world of Reiki. I would now deepen my understanding and immerse myself more into it. So Writing Reiki – here I come
Guten Morgen and welcome to Write Reiki, Astrid!
How lovely of Kate to share my work. I’ll have to reach out and thank her.
Aloha everyone, from Honolulu. My name is Carol.
I completed level 1 and 2 reiki training in 2018 out here in Honolulu but did not start practicing self reiki until 2020 when I attended the “I love myself global practice” sessions. Learning self reiki has been a huge blessing!!
I think that this is my 2nd time in this program. I decided to sign up again because I want to be part of a reiki community to strengthen/deepen my practice. My self practice is a very important component in helping me feel safe in what I view as a chaotic time.
Thank you!
Welcome back, Carol!
The safety component is so important. Safety is a spiritual issue and Reiki is a spiritual practice.
Hello to everyone from Amsterdam 👋. My name is Nicolien and I am happy to be here.
The first reiki course I took was in 2006 I believe. I have been home practicing reiki on and off. There are times it seems to me ‘it doesn’t work’ but lately I am benefitting greatly from it.
I am in a bit of a hectic time. My mother has had a stroke and needs care. My brothers and I have to find a place where she can live. And also, due to cutbacks, my contract will end in the summer. So I feel I need to care of myself as well. I have been in this program before and it really helped to keep me grounded.
For me writing in English is not very easy, I apologize in advance for any weird sentences and misstakes.
Love to all of you,
Nicolien
I mean mistakes haha
So good to have you back with us, Nicolien.
Sorry to hear about your mom. You certainly have a lot on your plate. I’m so happy that you’re committed to your self care.
I love the misstakes mistake 😂
Hi Everyone,
My name is Emma and I live in Maine. I have been practicing Reiki since 2011. I am a home practitioner.
This is my fourth or fifth time in this program. And I am so grateful to be a part of this group, again.
My goal this time is to be open to the experience. To see where Heart Weiting leads me.
Welcome, Emma! Always a treat to have you with us.
It’s great that you choose to be open to the experience.
And it might also be helpful to contemplate where you’d like to go with this year’s program.
You don’t have to share what you want more than you have, but please consider that the clearer we are about what we want, the more likely we are to notice when we’re moving in that direction, and to consciously make that choice when we’re presented with options and unclear which way to go.
Hi Pamela,
Thank you for the wise words. As it turns out, I listened to your introductory talk today.
I am paraphrasing, but you spoke about needing to feel safe before opening to love, which already is within us. When I heard this, I thought that this is my intention this time through the program. To feel safe in my practice and open to the love within me.
